The emotional struggles of applying winged eyeliner

Look, we all just want to look like 60s queens with fierce eyeliner flicks. Alas, the road to cat-eyes flawlessness is a rocky one.

Whether we're trying to master the art of a liquid liner with a wobbly hand, or working so hard to even up our flicks that they end up HUGE, the winged eyeliner is such a CLASSIC that it's worth the effort. But – damn – it's hard.

Thankfully, we are not alone in the struggle for perfect lines. These folks get it.

We all have our reasons why we love it so much.

SO WHY IS IT SO DARN HARD.

IT'S NOT QUANTUM PHYSICS…

… And yet we've all experienced some of these tragic moments.

SMUDGE PAIN.

SUCH SADNESS.
