This new Disney x Urban Decay collaboration looks like all our Wonderland dreams come true

By Scarlett Cayford, 8 April, 2016

At the moment, Urban Decay can do no wrong. Their marketing is ace, their products have reach Holy Grail status, and their Gwen Stefani collaboration got beauty lovers the world over totally hot under the collar.

Now it looks like it's time for Gwen Stefani to step back, and make way for a new collaboration rich with cartoon colour – Urban Decay's dalliance with Disney, in the form of an Alice in Wonderland collection.

Alice in Wonderland, as Disney lovers will know, takes place in a technicolour dream world, where cats talk and tea parties are terrifying and eating things ends in all kind of trouble. The 2010 Disney movie is loaded with colour, from the talking flowers to the high-as-a-kite caterpillar, and the palette makes it an easy win in terms of makeup.

This isn't UD's first collaboration with Disney – back in 2010 they released a highly-covetable Book of Shadows to honour the original film.

Details on what exactly the Through The Looking Glass collaboration will include are still hazy, but Trend Mood has stated that the collection will include an eyeshadow palette (comprised of 20 shades and retailing for $60), plus five new lipstick shades.

The collaboration isn't available yet, but is predicted to be hitting the shelves of Ulta and Sephora in May.

As for the collection, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, and exactly what we'd expect. As yet, there are no pictures of the lipstick shades, but the palette looks like an excellent mix of Disney-fied high-pigment shades AND a good selection of wearable, blendable neutrals.

She will return to Wonderland and turn back the hands of Time.

We're definitely loving the eyeshadow, but it's the lipstick we can't wait to see. Bring on May! And might we suggest you buy it for yourself as an unbirthday present? Because that's what we'll be doing…
